The Science Thread for ACT December 2009

anyone thought it was a killer?

A pain in the *** at the very best.

hahah for the seconf to last q did you put student x?

does anyone remember the answer to the second to last question?
it asked which student’s hypothesis about the period(?) was correct.
it said sth like “student W thinks the full sphere will have the longest period, …blah blah… , and student Z thinks all the three will have the same period.”
ring any bells?
i ran out of time so i just picked C…

I can’t remember what the second to last question was. I didn’t have time to finish so I probably threw an answer down.

EDIT:
Yeah, I definitely guessed.

The first few science passages weren’t bad but the last three (threshold frequency, NO2, pendulum) killed me. “5 minutes” was called as I was halfway through NO2, prompting some hurried guesses on the more involved questions.

The last one was student w. He said the solid sphere, which had the highest frequency.

what the answer to the last one? A?

ufcollins,

but wasn’t the question asking for the period?
maybe i read it wrong… i was in a rush…
i put student Y because it seemed* to me (again, i didn’t have much time to look at the data lol) that it had the lowest frequency, which means greatest period???
i dunno

eogkr
yeah it was student W

eogkr
yeah it was student W

What was the answer to the second to last question?

Was it choice B?

And what letter choice was “student W” (which u guys claim is the last question?)

Methane question
Only CH4 correct?

W was A…

yeah master, hydrocarbon, CH4 was the only one with H and C lol

ap chem ftw

yes it was I only…(CH4) the other answer choices didnt have carbon in them

In the 7 question debate passage what was teh answre to the higher pressure one?

yeah it was CH4. I saw that question and was soo happy, only fn chem passage on there.

genotypes/phenotypes? like wth

i think it was “100-1000 km cus it was deeper” or something like that
