December 2010-SAT II Biology E/M

For the experiment question with the vines, what was the scientists hypothesis? That the vine on artificial would grow at the same rate as the real?

yes zapadniyRus

for the question with the blood types what did you get?

cant get blood type O

Yes but it asked which was least likely not imposible

something that is impossible has a likeliness of 0, so its the least likely to happen.

I omitted 4, if I remember correctly. I used PR as a review book and I really liked it, although I had to review material from my high school bio class to really study because PR didn’t cover everything. I didn’t use Barron’s.

I thought the test got harder towards the end, as with most CB tests.

My score prediction: hoping to stay above 700, but I don’t know how many I got wrong.

Can someone c 0 m pile a list? (:

when do we find out our scores?

@jarred

I’m not sure but it should be around the 20th of Dec, if not earlier.

I didn’t expect eye to appear as it was on Nov Bio test. ;<
Did pretty badly, run out of time by the end as well…just hoping for about 630 or something like that. I suck. ;<

hey i am taking the subject test tomorrow and i think it is the same test as the one today…who wants to tell me whats on it?

it’s not, the sunday test is always different.

I got mid to high 600s on practice PR tests and last night, I did the real CB practice one (was saving it) and got 760-which score prediction is more accurate?

*Note: both were bio E (which is what I took today) and both were timed, obv

I’m hoping for 700+ but not getting my hopes up since I left 4 blank and prob got quite a few wrong… how many can I omit/get wrong to say in the 700s range?

65+ raw score is in 700s, I think

Look at the curve in the collegeboard book and check. I think it’s like 20 questions wrong or something. Subjects tests really aren’t that hard.

60 raw score is usually 700 i believe.

okay I just looked in the CB book and it says 61 raw points = 700, so I guess you can get around 20 wrong and still stay in the 700s range! yay! but the curve is slightly diff for E and M (but only like a 1 question difference)-for this month, do you think the E curve will be more lenient or the M curve?

do you think it’ll be too late to send this month’s subject test scores AFTER they come out, to be on time for RD (dec 31 and jan 1 for my schools)?

Oh i have a question too. I got a 770 on Bio E three years ago, and I retook it today but this time as Bio M. I’m pretty confident that I got an 800 so should I send both scores to colleges or just the Bio M score?

I already have 800 Chem, 790 USH, 800 Math II in addition to these scores

Scores for Dec SAT should be fine to send to colleges since that’s what I’m intending to do anyhow.

M curve is usually always better than the E curve I think too
