December 2014 ACT Discussion Thread

@BAMFNER‌ My status still says registered. @changcheng‌ scores will be released on December 23, tuesday. @Lindsay113‌ Iv’e taken the ACT three times and I always wait anxiously as I mull over all the possible outcomes of my test. I have stayed up until midnight of the night before scores are supposed to be released in the past, although I have gotten my scores the next morning around 7-8 AM CST every single time. That seems to be the general consensus as far as what time they come out. However, if you sent your scores to
any colleges, it’s possible to call the college before your score comes out and ask them what you made. I did it on the October ACT and got my scores back a day early.

I can’t believe Im a senior and I waited so long before taking this thing…bc btw, it was horrible

@1golfer1‌ Apologies, you were correct! No status change as of yet.

good luck to everyone receiving their scores soon!

Who else is checking their test status like every 2 seconds X_X

When do they usually change the status to tested?!

@JSSMIT‌ You must know when ACT writing scores will probably come out. Some of the schools I applied to need score reports by January 15th. Do you think ACT with writing scores will be released by then?

Anybody try the glitch?

How does the glitch work

I don’t think the glitch works anymore. And either way you’d have to have your status changed to “tested”

@Mpeauxsey‌ The glitch works by taking a link from a previous test and changing the test reg ID to your current test date in the url such that when you put it in you get a pdf with your current score, but as far as I know ACT has patched that glitch and it hasn’t worked in quite some time. If you’re still interested, however, I can post a link giving a more detailed description of what to do so you can see for yourself. @Dynasty21‌ Unfortunately I’m not able to tell you much about the writing other than that ACT says that writing scores usually come out about 2 weeks after multiple choice scores. Being as scores come back on the 23rd, the best situation would be to get your writing scores back 2 weeks later, on Jan 6th. If I had to just make a guess, I’d assume that you’ll get your writing scores back before the 15th although it’ll be a close call.

@16jpatel‌ haha Yes!! Iv’e checked like 5 times in the past hour. I’m so nervous, It’s like I’m checking a pregnancy test or something! :-??

Thanks I tried but my test is still “registered” so after I put my password in it brought me to an error page. I guess we can only know for sure when they change it to “tested”

@Mpeauxsey‌ Right. I’d still say that your best bet of getting scores back early is to call any colleges that you sent your scores to. The glitch hasn’t worked for anyone I know in over a year.

Ahhhh! I can’t fall asleep no matter how hard I try, and it’s not even the 23. I’m just really anxious for my staus to change to tested ASAP!

@16jpatel‌ I have no anxiety… I’m guaranteed to wait 8 weeks. I’m just curious to set what people get in relation to number of questions wrong.

@JSSMIT‌ A pregnancy test? You’re a guy! Lol.

If you’re currently a junior and you’re really anxious, don’t be. There’s plenty more time for you to take it again meaning that there is still time to improve and score better. If that doesn’t help, remind yourself that being anxious doesn’t do anything for you nor change anything about the test that you’ve already taken. Relax and focus on something that will take your mind off of it for a bit!

Does anyone know if I took the test outside the US, my test scores will come out on the 23 or later?

mine changed to tested

We are tested too.
