December ACT 2008 Math

"chord–radius angle ………………………. 55"
I got 35 because since there were two radii, regardless of where they were, the chord made an isoceles triangle. Therefore, since the angle between the radii was 110, the angle between a radii and the chord would be 35.

cos Θ ………………………. 4/5 <----was that (b)?

^right - I remember I had 110, but I thought maybe the central angle was 70, so (180-70)/2=55.

I am not sure if I remember it right:

parabola ………………………. y = (x+3)^2 - 2

i put (x-3)^2-2 for the parabola

Yeah, same.

^ second that

"trapezoid ………………………. x<=10, y>=-x, -2<=y<=-6 (B)"

I think its -5<=y<=-2 right?

also...cos Θ ………………………. 4/5 <----was that (b)?

^^if it's shifted right then y=(x-3)^2-2
^I don't remember the letter. Thanks for the correction!

Was minimum hourly wage $1000/(40*4)?

The distance between two holes
4 ?/16

i think it was something like that, there were two choices with 4 in it, i put the one that was greater, it was like

4 3/16
4 11/16 or something

i put 4 11/16 or whatever it was

Oh yeah, I remember that clearly it was 4 13/16 as the answer

Yeah, it was 4 13/16 for sure if that was one of the choices

definitely 4 13/16 - my calc rounded it to 4.81.

After the test I had this line left out on my calc:
150/6
25.00
what was that at the end of the test?

Yay! I have everything right so far except one.

Anybody know when we will be able to view our scores online? Two weeks?

Our proctor said 3-8 weeks I think. Not very precise.

ACT Score Information: Viewing Scores

Woah, that's a huge range. So it's not one specific date like the SAT. :(

There is a big range for the mail in dates; you can all check online on December 29 for your scores.
