December ACT 2008 Reading

yeah I put appreciation too. Looking at the tone of the paragraph and the entire passage, that seemed like the only reasonable answer choice

Appreciation!!!

Oh wow.

I put indifference, because I thought it meant when it was "shameless" people didn't mind when music and things were stolen.

appreciation over here to.

What did u get for the question that asked ''which of the following did the UCLA professors NOT use in studying the collleseum?''

I chose 3 ft clay models. I didnt see that anywhere in the passage.

Assryian and Saturn Temple- both were reconstructed long after they were built?

Stealing? Not sure...

Maybe -1 R for me,, which would suckkkkkkkkkkkk if ii don't get a 36.

Yep, i got clay models as well.

It was clay models, it had all the others in the 2nd paragraph.

yeah clay models

what were the other choices for the saturn temple one?

Appreciation was the answer, I think. The word choices -- "shameless," "one-upp" -- were somewhat ironic, as he was clearly impressed by the music.

1st passage

Something that wasn't characteristic of the mother?

A She had different facial features than her husband
B She was caring
C She was worried about the wheat price drop
D i forgot this one

I chose C

^I think I chose C.

yeah it's C

What about the "fenced" vocabulary question?

@rjacob I put C too I'm pretty sure

on the Saturn/Assyrian Temple one, they weren't both reconstructed long after they were built only the Saturn one was. I think the answer was something about they were both being studied or remodeled or something...

''fenced''- hold

i put that

on the fenced question I put committed

was erroneous data in one of your answer choices?

i think i put committed for the fenced one

Yeah, I got committed for the "fence" one as well.

@spazattack, yeah erraneous was for the assumption the scientists had or something about the building.

For what CANT "fenced" mean I got like "commiserate" or something with a c that seemed totally off. I know "penned" and "held" were right.

I put commited.
