Ummm.. 800s in both SAT II Physics and Biology and a 5 in AP Biology wasn't enough to make this "easy" for me.

Yeah it wasn't very easy or "common sense"; but, background information made it much quicker. I almost had time to check every question.

I don't think you guys are getting the point that there is no science knowledge required to actually do good on ACT science.

Hey, Hipster, so how hard was the AP bio exam? -- I am taking the class now, and it seems simple enough, although we still have a long way to go...

The the last passage about projectiles wat was the difference between the last graph and second to last graph? Was it just one had air resistence and the other didn't?

Unless by "good" you mean 26-30, I think you are wrong, Petlee.

^ No kidding. Of course it's not required to know "anything" about science, but there's no way you'll get 30+ if you don't at least know some.

Plus so what if it didn't "require" science knowledge. It's undeniable that it helps. Like the isotope section about Ra I think it was, I finished in like 2 minutes because it related to what we've been doing in AP chem.

30 is good

^ I agree. Having some science knowledge may allow someone to breeze through a question, giving them more time on more difficult questions which results in that 31-36 range

I overstudied for it (read the entire Campbell book), so when I took it it was amazingly easy. My friend who barely even payed attention in class read part of the book on plants and got a 5 too. Basicly its one of the easier AP exams, and if you think you did well in this science section well, your pretty well off.

I took the ACT the first time and got a 34 on science, and got 35s on the practice exams, but this one was way harder than any of those.

lol, I thought something was odd (difficulty wise) about the science section. I thought I was moving at a really nice pace (pretty much disregarded passages and looked at questions and graphs first) until the proctor called "5-minutes," and I was literally scrambling to read through and bubble in the last section. I can only imagine how short-on-time someone who attempted to scrutinize every detail was.

This was my first ACT, so I figured the challenge was usual. Hopefully the curve is generous. :)

Was all the information there? Sure.

Common sense? Hardly.

It was just too much info to comprehend and analyze in 35 min.

It's just graphs and tables!!!

Anyone remember the quesiton about Fenway park was it 100, 110, and 120 cause 100 seemed right on the edge.

^ If it was as easy as graphs and tables I would've 36'd it with no problem. It was so much more than that dude.

We are all informed that you did well on the science section petlee1. Congratulations!!!!!!!!!!!!!

I put 100, 110, and 120
