What was the curve?

we’ll find out on the 28th when the ‘understand your performance’ thingy gets released? :o

was it 770=-1
740=-2?

What part of bballer’s post don’t you understand, OP? We won’t find out until the 28th.

don’t be a dick
it’s still possible to know through simple guesswork based on what people got.

Well, people don’t know for sure how many questions they missed. Any determination of the curve that’s made before the 28th is based purely on speculation.

^That’s correct, although at the very top of the math curve, you can generally figure it out based purely on reported scores. I believe it was 800-780-750-…

^That’s for one form. I think -1 on the other form was a 770. But until we get detailed reports, we can’t be sure.

Hey guys,
I got one math wrong and it dropped me to 780. Hope that helpes somewhat.

Good call, fignewton

Are you sure dakool?
because i got 2 wrong and i fell to 740 =/

^Different forms=different curves.

@314159265 I am not doubting you are correct, but how does that work?

I though Forms were just the same questions and sections in a different order. Then wouldn’t the curve be the same, because it is based on how many got certain questions wrong.

What is the difference between forms? Because I have QAS, that I believe are the same test, but different forms. Does one have different questions than the other?

^“Forms” usually mean different tests in terms of content, not just rearrangements.

Typically, on a particular date, the various SAT forms are different in content only in the essay question (and the sections are rearranged). For QAS months, this is always true (rearrangement + different essays, but other content is the same).

If the content isn’t changed, the curve is the same. This is why, in QAS months, you will only see one curve for each of math, CR, and writing (but several different essay curve tables, one for each unique essay question).

Recently (I believe both Nov and Dec), however, forms were used that were different in the MC sections as well.

Right. For the November and December domestic SAT’s, there were (at least) 2 different sets of CR, M, and W MC questions for each month.

oh rite,
cheers 4 that =)
