It’s hard to answer this without knowing what preparation you have done up until now. Last-minute prep is not really a good idea. But when the last minute is all you have…
Still, the only way this is worth doing is if you then have time to at least go over what you got wrong and try to learn from your mistakes. Otherwise, you are just tiring yourself out with no upside. And I am assuming that you are going to use one of the official practice tests. Especially at the last minute, there is really no point using anything else.
So, depending on your circumstances, I’d say that this is not ideal but possibly worth doing. But better to take half a test and then go over it in detail than to take a full test that you don’t ever review.
Do you think its better to review SAT grammar and math rules then?
What have you already done to prepare? If you have never sat down to review the grammar and math that is on the test, then yes, I would say that is a better use of your limited remaining prep time. But if you have already done a good bit of that, then spending a few hours going over an actual test would be helpful. I would not worry at this point about taking a full timed test.
You’re asking us if it’s a good idea to do some last-minute studying, which leads me to believe (since you haven’t mentioned otherwise) that you haven’t done much prep up until now. Anything you do now, short of memorizing a few formulas and drilling some grammar rules in your head, as @pckeller said, won’t help you much.
idk if it was just in my head but the day before the PSAT I took a full length practice test and the next day I felt great about the test.
I prepared for months for the ACT but didnt do so well so I took my first SAT in Nov with minimal SAT prep but with ALOT of ACT prep
Not really sure how much ACT prep will help with New SAT though
How did everyone feel about this SAT? I felt like the reading was harder than usual. Did anyone else feel this way?
Not harder, it’s way harder. The question stems were long and complex. The information to be process was a little overwhelming.
do u guys think there will be a curve?
I thought reading was hard as well
I’m hoping there is a curve but not by much because I heard that the November SAT didn’t have a “big curve” for the reading section
I ended up guessing on a lot of the reading questions… so i really hope there is a nice curve for this month
Screwed up Reading… Writing and Math were okay though
What did u guys get for that clock problem in the calculator section? It was about measuring the tip of the minute hand to the ground and we had to find the graph for that. I got a graph that kind of looked like a straight “V.” Anyone else?
I thought that the reading was easier than October’s, idk I felt ok about it. Math was actually ok.
my question?
cud u explain I thought it was obviously a bowl shaped exponential graph since the distance from the ground obviously gets farther and farther as time goes up because 12 o clock is farther away from the ground than 6 o clock?
i guess idk
