<p>My 2 cents:</p>

<p>I doubt the majority of people care if you get nude in your room for like 10 seconds to change- they should understand; i mean, it would be kind rough to make someone go down the hall to the bathroom to change every time, and really you're allowed to get naked in your own space as long as you're not doing it to excess / trying to unnerve someone.</p>

<p>If you're uncomfortable, I bet if you did it a couple of times you'd feel fine. I mean <strong><em>, who cares if ur roomy sees ur *</em></strong>****** (insert wtvr here). It prob doesnt look too different from theirs. Spare yourself some incovenience; you don't need it.</p>

<p>I would just turn my back to my roommate and change discreetly. The thought of that doesn't make me uncomfortable at all.</p>

<p>I'll just introduce myself to a closet door and change behind it if i'm changing in the middle of the day for whatever reason and didn't shower before it.</p>

<p>If all else fails, just change while your roommate is in the bathroom. Everyone has to go *some*time.</p>

<p>Anyone who took gym in high school (which is probably all of us) has had to change in front of other folks of our gender before. But this time it's more than swapping our polos for tees and pants for shorts.</p>

<p>I had the luxury of a private dorm so I wouldn't know, but I have roomed with folks before in hotels and whatnot and I'd ALWAYS go to the bathroom.</p>

<p>Maybe it's because I don't like nudity (of either gender). Naked people make me uncomfortable, even myself (I HAVE to have a towel wrapped around me at home even if just my dog is there). And naked women turn me off too--she's GOT to be clothed for me to be attracted to her.</p>

<p>But if you're like me, just change in the bathroom. Shower stalls are good (if you're like me you take two showers a day sometimes--remember there is no water bill to pay at a college dorm!) and if you can find one, a handicapped size toilet stall works too.</p>

<p>MacTech -- maybe you should loosen up a little bit... I understand that different people have different levels of comfort, and that's cool... but everyone should at least be comfortable with their own naked body when they're alone... and how are you supposed to have sex if you aren't attracted to a naked girl (not saying you have to have sex, or that you aren't already, but it could end up being a problem if/when you do).</p>

<p>You should try dancing around naked to your favorite music all by yourself... it's good fun in a non-sexual way.</p>

-Forgot to change when you showered last time
-No time to shower, and you just worked out, and changing your boxers is the best you can do before your next class

<p>The list goes on... But in all seriousness I guess ppl are just diferent, some like to be naked, others can't stand the sight of skin. Whatever your personal feelings I'm sure it can be worked out among civil roommates.</p>

<p>Oh and a word to all rising high school senior guys. If we end up at the same college and we are rommies you better be ready to embrace my nakedness for 3-5 second intervals throughout the year because I refuse to walk all the way down the hall just to change boxers.... Hope you don't mind. Feel free to turn the other way. :)</p>

<p>Well, if you're a girl... you might be dressing up for the evening, and need to change underwear to go with the outfit (strapless bra for a strapless top, thong for clingy dress, etc).</p>
