<p>I say into most if not all these schools. You nailed the SAT, which is all the UCs really care about… Write about your internship and I say you’re golden.</p>
<p>Your GPA is excellent. Your SAT I’s and II’s are above average but still excellent. However you lack leadership positions, which implies that you aren’t really an innovator. But since you are applying to the UC’s and you are from California, you have a possible chance for all UC’s. Do you have any distinguished awards and such? Perhaps that can make up for the weak extracurriculars…</p>

<p>I’m not too familiar with the UC’s other than UCLA and UC Berkeley but I think your stats are sufficient for them. I think you should try to compare yourself with the kids in your school and see where you stand. Since you are from a top-notch California high school, I’m sure the students are also strong academically. Consider how many kids got into UCLA and UC Berkeley last year from your school. This might help you predict your chances. If your class rank is high enough (Top 10%), I think you have a good shot at UCLA and UC Berkeley. </p>
<p>However, I would say that your shot at UCLA is better than that of UC Berkeley just because UC Berkeley engineering is known to be stronger and thus harder to get into. Good luck!</p>

<p>I think your shots are very good. I don’t think your extra-curriculars are that weak. SATs are pretty up there, so that’s a plus. Honestly, I think it’ll come down to your essays and how you present yourself in the applications. Best of luck!</p>
