Repost, since i updated with SAT scores so you can give me a better response perhaps. Anyway, i decided to apply to UCBerk and UCLA, i was wondering if you guys would consider some privates? I live in california, so i dont know if it would be worth going out of state (UCs are very cheap for me). Was hoping for some people to recommend some match and slight reach schools so that i can consider applying to them (i probably wont, but its always best to consider all options). i was actually thinking about hopkins' BME program. although i know thats extremely extremely hard to get into. and i also dont know if i want to go to hopkins.

Might as well apply to Stanford, though there's little guarantee for anyone who wants to go there.

Why not USC?!

cuz usc is a rip-off, its in the ghetto, and its not that good of a school.

UCB/UCLA: Match

I'd apply to a couple of the "low Ivies" and their peers...that'd be schools like Cornell, Northwestern, WashU, Johns Hopkins, UChicago, Georgetown, Rice, Vanderbilt, Emory, UMichigan, UVirginia, Wake Forest, Tufts, & UNC - Chapel Hill.

If you start at the top of that group you are looking at reaches while the bottom are more matches. The rest fall somewhere in b/w. From a biology standpoint Cornell, NW, WashU, Hopkins, and Rice stand out the most to me.
