Deciding between Community College and UC

Hi everyone,
I am currently deciding which option would be right for me. I got accepted to UCI and UCR but wait listed for UCSD. The problem I have right now is debating if I should go straight to an UC or start off a community college. I want to go straight to one of my UCs that accepted me but at the same time, I feel like starting off at a community college could also be a good option for me.
Currently, I am taking Early College which is a course that my school offers which professors from a local community college come and teach selected students in the class for 2 years and by the end of the senior year, I am expected to have at least 1 year worth of college credit. So if I were to attend community college, I would just need to just attend one year of community college and can just transfer out to whatever school I feel like would be right for me.
So if anyone can help me with my decision, I will be forever grateful.
By the way, the college that offered my school that Early College program is Citrus College

The reasons to select a CC over a UC are typically budget, maturity and family commitment. You don’t list any of those so, i’d push you toward UCI.

Good luck

Transfer admissions can be just as competitive as freshman admissions unless you use TAG and not all the UC’s participate. You have been accepted by two good schools, so pick one and start you college career.

To transfer to the UC’s you need two years of coursework.

Go to the UC now, since you are indecisive, because you may have regrets later and you may not get in.

As someone who decided to go to Community College instead of applying to university I will say GO TO UNIVERSITY OFF THE BAT!!! I had no idea it would be so hard to get into university after attending community college. I’ve been @ CC for 4 years now, and have been denied for two years in a row from several universities in California even though I’ve been well above the requirements for the programs. Unless you have issues with money, just go directly to university. If you find that it’s not your thing THEN you can transfer to a community college if that’s the way you want to go. To this day I very much regret not just applying to university, I had excellent grades in HS but I just procrastinated and missed my chance.
