Deciding between Santa Catalina and Santa Cruz/Ana Capa

Hi all,

I'm an incoming freshman and am having a tough time deciding between catalina and Santa Cruz/Ana capa.

Answers to te following questions will help me make my decision:
1)what percent of anacapa and Santa Cruz residents are freshmen?
2)I hear that Catalina is very social. I have a hard time seeing how when everybody is being separated by 9-10 floors and two buildings! If I live on floor 2, am I going to know who's on floor 6? Is most of the socializing done outside the halls and in the community areas?
3)if I pick a residence hall that doesn't suit me, can I switch out say 1 quarter in?

If anybody has any other comments, I'll be happy to listen!

Thanks for the input. Im hoping fr responses from people that have had experience with both halls.

I’m in the same dilemma as you

I’ve heard that in San Cat you mostly only get to know the people in San Cat whereas in Anacapa/Santa Cruz you get to know everyone from your dorms and other dorms. Is this true? And how likely will you be to get a “chill” roommate in either dorm

thanks
