Deciding between UCLA, UCSD, and UCR

Hey there guys! I am very conflicted and would love some other point of views. Finally, admission decisions are over and I have been accepted into:

UCLA - Sociology (hope to minor in accounting as I have my associates in Business Administration)
UCI - Sociology
UCSD - Communication (hope to minor in accounting/business as well)
UCSB - Communication (hope to switch into the Econ and Accounting major)
UCR - Business Administration
CSUF - Business Administration

As you can see, I am kinda all over the place when it comes to my major. I really want to pursue Business, but I also really want to attend UCLA.

I’m just trying to decide which is more important, the college or the major?
Any insight would be so helpful.
Is Sociology employable at all?

Even if you went to UCLA, I suspect it wouldn’t be difficult to change your major, if you even declare it the first year. If you want to attend UCLA, go for it, unless UCLA really sucks for business.

So much *** in one sentence! @Tshiknn managed to overlook “I have my associates” which means the option for “declare it the first year” is impossible without a time machine. The OP is a apparently a transfer student.

Second, @Tshiknn may be happy to share their intuition but as it turns out it is a miserable guide. Aside from the niggling detail that the OP didn’t ask about changing majors at UCLA but rather declaring a minor, it turns out that describing this as “not difficult” is at odds with what UCLA says

The good news, should it be considered that, is that the OP’s grades earned at the CC will be used in calculating the GPA. If most or all of the required courses have been completed then the OP can calculate a GPA and contact the undergrad advisor at UCLA to see what the recent cutoff GPA has been.

The OP ought to do similar legwork to see what the requirements are at the other UCs

If you want accounting go to CSULB or CSUF.
