Deciding where to go

I have a 2.8 GPA and got a 1580 on my SAT (Math 480 Reading 550 Writing 550) and a 22 on my ACT. I am a fairly average student but because of it, it limits where I can get in. Obviously, my dream is not to go to an Ivy. I am looking for the best place for me. I'm from Chicago and I love it so I've been looking into schools like Loyola and DePaul but I'm not sure. I want someplace that's in a city or near a city. I love the idea of a woman's college but only if it's the right environment. I'm a liberal lesbian so I want some place that is open minded and a little bit more liberal.

Some of the schools I've been looking at:
Chatham University
Simmons College
Prescott College
Northern Arizona University
Wesleyan College

Oh, and I want to be a teacher.
If you can give me some ideas or tell me what you know about these schools, that would be great. Thanks.

Where do you want to teach? It is generally easier to get certified if you study in the state where you want to teach.

I’m not sure about that yet, I like the idea of living in the Northeast. I’m thinking of going to grad school right after undergrad though.

Can your family afford the school’s you’ve listed? And CuriousJane is right about certification.

Yes, I have a very large inheritance from my grandfather that is designed to pay for all of my schooling (including grad school and beyond if I want it).
