My sjsu account says that my decision letter is in the mail...What does this probably mean ?
Am I rejected .Please help I am an international student and do not know the literal meaning and sjsu are not replying . Please give your valuable opinions...

Some schools only release admissions results by snail mail. It’s a primitive, but time-worn tradition of guessing your admission status by looking at the envelope without opening it. Normally, thick = good, thin = bad. I have no idea what they send for deferred.

Actually, thick is good, but thin could be good or bad. There are colleges and universities that send a thin acceptance letter and follow it up with a thick packet about housing and whatnot a few days later. I can’t believe they can be as mean as that, but they can be.

The good thing is, if it’s ‘in the mail’ you will find out sooner rather than later! Let us know what comes in the mail. Good luck! :)

Ya sure thanks a lot for your wishes.

I should ask my son to check his account. Another poster on here said they already heard from Cal Poly Pomona & SDSU as admitted, so the CSU’s are evidently starting to trickle out decisions. Exciting for kids who did not do EA/ED.

Good luck!
