Ok - looking for someone with experience here.
The Applicant.tamu.edu web site tells us "a decision on this application was mailed on 01/13/09. The anxiety is killing us.
I am thinking it looks good for my daughter. A decision letter is on the way before the application date deadline.(1/15/09)... she was in the review process - not in the top 10% (top 15%)

I have the same message! From reading other posts, it sounds like a Step 5 will eventually appear on Tamu's site and will say what the decision is. Some people said it took a long time for the acceptance letter to come in the mail.

My parents think it's a good sign that a decision letter is on the way but we are being cautiously optimistic. I'm a review admit too.

It should show up pretty soon online (potentially even before you get the letter). If your daughter was a review applicant, and top 15%, at this time if they were to send you a letter I'd have to say that would be a good thing... I just can't see A&M turning your daughter down this early when she's so close to auto-admit. Best of Luck!

Thanks for your opinions.
The web site was down for quite some time yesterday for maintanence. I was hoping when it came back up to see the decision on the web site.

For thoes of you waiting for a decision letter, My daughters came on Tuesday - January 20th. It might have been her on the 19th, but no mail for MLK day. So on the applicant web site it said a decision letter was sent on 1/13/09. The section under communications said letter was sent on 1/15/09, the actual letter/packet was received on 1/20/09 (with a holiday being on the 19th). he actual letter was dated 1/14/09.
The Web site gave us the results of the decision on 1/15/09 mid afternoon time.
It looks like decision was made on the 13th, letter written on the 14th and mailed on the 15th.
