Hang in there everyone - nothing we can do now but sit back, relax, and wait.

Anyone know how long it's going to take the letter to get from CMU to Long Island, NY? Tomorrow is definitely way too wishful thinking

Priority mail is said to take 1-3 days…

But what happens to the mail system when CMU is injecting 20,000 letters into it? >.<

ah, new york… at least you’re in the east coast. imagine waiting all the way from CA! haha.

Anyone know when the status website will update to show that the decision letter was sent?

I think Sunday.

I;m from Cleveland and i didnt get anything today in the mail :(

This was posted yesterday on the admission office’s Facebook page (in response to a student’s question):

Unfortunately, it seems like I’m never in the first group of people who gets letters from colleges. I’m just expecting something to come on Friday; if it comes today, I’ll be surprised.

I waited by the mailbox for my D today, but I guess that was wishful thinking that it would get here so soon. Will continue the vigil tomorrow.

I didn’t get anything today but I wasn’t expecting to. I’m going to start expecting something tomorrow, since I live relatively close (LI, NY).

Also, CMU got all my documents on time except for my midyear report, which they got on March 19th. They wouldn’t have kept my decision letter from going out yesterday because of that right?

make sure to check the website too… I found out online (ED) like a week before my letter came…

JDong217: No, they won’t hold your decision for a late midyear report, but they will want your final grades eventually.
Good Luck!

Nothing in South Fla. either :(

Oh, by the way, here’s something to chuckle at while you all nervously await your decision letters:

http://www.enrollment.cmu.edu/admission/blogs/justinm/Fence.jpg

It’s a replica of “The Fence”, created for the class of 2014 and placed in the admissions office. If you visit CMU in the next few months as an admitted student, you get to sign the replica!

Nothing good in the mail today - I am thinking it will be Sat for MA.

its coming from PA to NJ… why isnt it here yet?!

do you think it’ll reach MD tomorrow? I realllyy need it b/c i’m going on vacation Saturday and don’t want to wait another week!

Probably because the packages/letters were sent yesterday after the mail was collected.

: {
Mailed yesterday meant it went to the post office yesterday…but there’s 26,000 pieces of mail to process (5000-6000 of these fat packages) …it might not have actually LEFT the post office until today-- that’s a lot of mail for one center to process…don’t worry, it’s on the way now for sure!

My prediction: Ohio, PA, NY, NJ residents will see it by Friday for sure!
…then move outward to Saturday and Monday mail for the rest of the country.

The Webpage should now show things as having mailed…which means Sunday it’s online.

Nope, my webpage doesn’t say that anything was mailed yet :/
