I think that the status website is really slow, I mean it took almost 2 weeks for my mid-year report to show up. But the admissions committee has stated that all letters were mailed out except for those missing documents. They really don’t have any reason to go into everyones account to post that letters were mailed.

I’m in PA so hopefully I’ll get a decision tomorrow!

… although when Carnegie Mellon sent out the application receipt it took two weeks before I got it. =P

I’m not sure where, but I think someone on this site said that almost all of the US applicants would get their decision by 3/26 (Friday). Once again, I am NOT SURE, but I could have sworn that someone on collegeconfidential said that.

I’m hoping mine comes tomorrow.

I would think that most people will at least get them by Sunday because otherwise it wouldn’t really make sense for CMU to put up decisions online at that time if most would end up finding out online first.

Yeah I think almost all of us should have them by Saturday. PA, NJ, NY, etc. should have them tomorrow. At least judging from the time it takes to mail something from my sister in philadelphia to NY.

I just noticed that under Financial Aid Documents Sent, I now have an eligibiity letter listed as sent on the 26th. Hopefully this is a good sign that my son was admitted, but then again, who knows! Hoping the packet will arrive today in MA!

We live in southeastern PA, tiny hamlet post office, all mail has already been put in our post office boxes for today, but nothing from CMU. Our mail is always very fast. Do the rejections go out the same day? Some colleges send them a day or two later. Wondering if no news is bad news…

Don’t worry LMDB, with that kind of volume it is hard to believe that each piece of mail would go out at the exact same time. Seems physically impossible.

from cleveland
nothing here either

Why can’t they just post it . . .

mumof2boyz - my d has the eligibility letter listed as being sent on March 26 for financial aid too.

Does everyone has this or does it mean something?

^^ We have that too - would love to know if it means anything! :)

I have it too. I really hope it wasn’t actually mailed on March 26th (i.e. today)… oh well, if we don’t receive anything in the mail by Sunday, we should be able to view decisions as well as financial aid information online!

My D’s does not say that, so I hope it is not an indication for us

Mailman was just here. No CM mail today in the midwest.

I live in Boston. No CM mail either.

^ same for me, and I live in WV about 1.5 hours away from CMU

We’re in NJ and nothing in the mail either.

I did post earlier that most should receive by today, 3/26. I checked USPS website and put in zip codes and it showed 2 days – even if coming from California. But I rec’d mail yesterday from a zip code that should take only 2 days but took 3 days instead. So maybe tomorrow?

Eligibility letter sent out shows up under “Admissions Documents Sent”? Hmmm… s don’t have that.

The eligiblity letter shows up for us under financial aid documents sent - way down on the page. I’m trying not to get my hopes up that it means anything and won’t tell my D in case it means nothing!

I was so hoping today would be the day to get mail but if everyone else isn’t I doubt we will either!

Does the elegibility letter entry show up if you didn’t apply for financial aid?
