Nothing in NY

I live in Pittsburgh, roughly 30 min from campus, and still nothing…

did they actually send it? if they sent it on the 24th people near cmu should’ve got it yesterday and today…

i personally think cmu’s application status checking system is amazing compare to other schools but i don’t like the “4day” online thingy…

Seems like the applicants that live in Pittsburgh didn’t even get a letter yet.

Hoping for tomorrow!

Erie, Pa 2 hours away from Mellon…nothing yet.

Nothing here in NY for today and all the mail’s already come. I don’t have the eligibility letter sent to me, but they’re also basically still missing all of my fin aid documents even though the tracker says they received my faxed documents - they just aren’t listed under the fin aid section yet

Edit: Okay, for those of you whose statuses don’t show that the eligibility letter was sent out, I wouldn’t freak out if I were you. I just called admissions to see what was up with my fin aid documents and the lady told me that they’re only just working on the ones they got on March 8th-9th right now. She told me they got mine March 10th so they won’t be looking at mine just yet.

I didn’t even know you could submit all of your tax returns and fin aid app for CMU online, but she said the online ones get priority

Edit2: You can still get your decision letter if they haven’t finished debating your financial aid status yet right?

FIrst – don’t panic if you don’t see “Fin Aid Eligibility Letter”…it’s not necessarily a rejection - just means your fin package is not yet done for a variety of reasons.

Yes, decisions can still be sent without the financial information.

Some people can confirm - there may be a “decision letter sent” post …or may not, depends how things went this year with the backlog of files …

The website says this for me: Financial Aid Documents Sent
Date Sent Document
26-mar-2010 Financial Aid Eligibility Letter

Mailman has come and gone here in Eastern PA and no CMU mail :(

None in Boston either.

hoping for tomorrow in Boston!!

haha if PA didnt get it, no other region would’ve gotten it.
NJ here, hoping to see the mail tomorrow!

Boston!.. oh sorry, I just wanted to join in with my fellow Massachusettsians…

Anyway, I don’t have “Fin Aid Eligibility Letter,” but that would make sense because we haven’t sent them my parent’s income tax return or W2 forms. They accept those until mid-April, so many admitted students probably won’t have “Fin Aid Eligibility Letter” on their status page…

Why can’t they just post the decisions online? !

They will!

…on Sunday morning.

I don’t have my “Fin Aid Elegibility Letter” listed but is that possibly due to the fact that my W2 forms and other things are not showing up as received either? I’m just really worried at this point.

Of course. They can’t inform you of your financial aid eligibility unless they have processed all your forms.

no letters here either. I begin to wonder if they send all stuffs via SNAIL MAIL. and they tell us they use Priority Mail.

When will decisions be posted online, exactly?

I believe that it is midnight (late Sat. night/early Sun. Morning).

I was really hoping to get my decision through the mail first, but its looking like I probably won’t get the letter till monday. I guess I’ll be staying up saturday night.
