International students get their packages through UPS. UPS actually cares about getting packages where they need to be on time.

We, on the other hand, get ours through USPS. They’re not built to handle huge influxes of letters/packages like what CMU just sent out. So it’ll be a delay.

@Lrn2wlk - that probably is encouraging. I don’t think anyone is going to be able to verify this for sure, but they probably don’t look at fin. aid for students who are rejected anyway. The fact that fin. aid was calculated probably means she was admitted. Congrats.

I believe the international student. For ED decisions CMU sent out international decisions early so all the decisions would reach applicants at the same time. It’s impossible to calculate when an package will reach an international student so maybe they sent out the package early just in case.

Mailman has come and gone…no CM mail in the midwest today either. Why not just post it online on a given day like MIT and other schools do. That’s how we are all going to find out anyways as it looks.

Ha, did the mailman come at the same time for everyone? I’m in Plano, TX (Dallas, basically), and I just got the mail too. Nothing. I did get my selective service registration confirmation though.

I got the mail on 25th, but im an international student (although its only Canada), so i guess they mail out the international students first? So i’m sure you guys will be fine :).

And congrats caddyness! Yeah, I heard it was the same for all of the ivy league colleges too; the international students got all of their stuff long before the other applicants.

mzbkiya, they post the decisions online three days after the day they mailed it to you, so they’ll put up the decisions for all the people who they mailed on wednsday
