I say they’ll post everyone’s decision Sunday and the servers will crash and not get fixed until Monday.

I just got “This is the official fat letter” in the mail today. I live in Pittsburgh…

The mailman came and left and didn’t even call back.

Steelers, it took the “snail mail” 3 days to crawl around Pittsburgh? LOL

Congrats!

Congrats Steeler

I got in ED though but I guess they send out FAT letters for ED kids in March too.

AVHS Dad. My mom remembers you from Rice ED. Let’s hope we fair better at CMU. Did your son apply at Duke also? Monday is going to be a crazy day at our house.

According to the Carnegie Mellon facebook admissions page:
Q: If we don’t receive the letter tomorrow, you mentioned that the decisions will be posted online on Sunday. Does that mean 4/28 12:01am??

A: Carnegie Mellon Office of Admission: The decisions won’t be posted at exactly 12:01 a.m. but sometime in the early morning.

Please tell me I don’t have to stay up till 3 am to get my decision. There is no way I’m sleeping.

@anon345, just take some Tylenol PM… when you wake up at 2:30pm, you’re decision will be waiting for you on the website :)

(Disclaimer: I am joking. Taking sleeping pills, especially ones containing acetaminophen, is probably not a good idea if you do not need them. Try doing something productive to pass the time.)

Nothing here for MA.
Looks like its midnight waiting.

If my financial aid was just completed today when should I expect to see a financial aid elegibility letter going out? I’m really really really hoping I got in. :(

I live in Jersey, still waiting :(

I’m in North Jersey and I got my “official fat letter” today!

@miss92lady congrats! Which school did you apply to at CMU?

Here’s some good news! According to the admission office Facebook page, a “Financial Aid Eligibility Letter” showing up on your status page means:

What if our financial aid documents are showing up as completed today? Should we have still gotten one sent on the 26th if we were admitted or waitlisted?

my snail mail mid-ear hadn’t made it to CMU so I just faxed them a copy on the 25th (they got it that day too).

I’m I right in saying that I’m going to be penalized for this?

@freethefork - honestly, no - not necessarily. I don’t even think mid-year reports were an absolute requirement, but they do require final grades eventually.

much thanks!

i hope you’re right. CMU is one of my top choices (ok more like my top choice haha)

@bimmerb0y- Thanks, I applied to 2 colleges. Accepted to H&SS (my first choice) and waitlisted at MCS.
