My D got a fat envelope with the words “This is the Fat letter” on it, but she is away at a NYU reception this week and won’t let me open it…

@Kellannah - well, at least that means she got in… :)

Where are you located?

Well not really. She applied to the Drama department and from what people have posted she would have gotten a phone call had she gotten in to that very selective program. To answer your question, we live near Philly, and my mailman comes at around 11am

Decisions are online now

I got WL. Anyone know how many people apply and how many get accepted? As well as the chances of WL? thanks

‘not admitted’ by SCS… I sent my best application to CMU whatever, I’ve got Stanford and MIT :P

how do we find our decision online?

EDIT: Nevermind. Accepted to both the College of Humanities and Social Sciences, and the Tepper School of Business.

Nice news. But still waiting for 6 more schools (and they’re the ones I’m most concerned about)

Where is the website that you can see the decisions? I never received any emails about setting up an account or something.

Waitlisted (SCS). Ah well, I’m pretty sure I’m going to Berkeley anyways.

Accepted to ChemE in CIT! :D

Hairy… One of the first letters CMU sent you after your application had an admission ID number on it. You use that number and sign in at

Just accepted to MCS in SoCal! :D

ACCEPTEDDD!!!

you guys… i’m in disbelieft. When I log in, there is no huge “congratulations!” popping up, or an official letter in PDF format like some schools, but it just says “Accept” below the decision box. and it’s in a very small font too haha. that means i’m in right!!!

I checked online and it said I was accepted I think? It was very anticlimactic.

Strangely enough, it says my decision notification was sent March 19, yet I still haven’t gotten it.

It said mine was sent 2/25 and I still havnt received it…

but if i remember correctly, back in january, it took about 3 weeks for my receipt package ( the one with the admission ID stuff) to get here (i’m in CA)… I don’t know how long this one’s gonna take…it’s been more than a month should i be worried?

I think the decision notification date was when they decided your decisions, because there is no way mine was mailed in February. I would have much rather have gotten my decision by mail, but according to other posters, the package itself is really cool.

This sounds like a really stupid question, but is the box where it says, “Preference College Department Program Decision” the place where you see whether you have been accepted or not? So does that mean under Decision, if it says ACCEPT, you have been accepted? I’m only asking because I thought it would be more conspicuous, and honestly, I don’t even know if there was something there in that box the last time I checked.

That’s exactly right.

Awesome!!!

Congrats, Idftalk. My daughter’s online status also suddenly changed when she checked it (shortly after midnight on Saturday), but she hasn’t received her packet in the mail yet, and we’re not that far away (Northeast).
