Are admissions decisions posted on the myroc website? If so, around what date are they posted and if not, when are decisions usually mailed?

All decisions at UR are mailed. They’re not posted online.

In past years, decisions have started to arrive around mid to late March. A very few applicants (~100) will receive acceptances as early as the end of Feb/first week of March–these are the students who will be invited to interview for the Renaissance-Global Scholarships. Everyone else will receive their acceptances/rejections no later than April 1.

okay, thank you!

Are you positive? I would expect they have the portal to also check your decision online…can anybody else confirm this? (Not that i don’t trust you WayOutWestMom - I just want to be sure :D) Thanks!

There is a website to check the status of your application. It just tells you what materials you have in. Under the decision heading it says you will receive your decision in the mail, which is where I received it.

All admissions decisions are sent in the mail. A physical copy of the decision will arrive at your P.O. box or mailbox.

The final update in your MyRoc account will state that “a decision has been made and you can expect a decision letter in the mail soon”. That notification will not show up in your MyRoc account until your letter has been sealed and sent in the mail.

WayOutWestMom’s time line is correct. Please realize that you may not receive a letter until March 31st. By April 1st, everyone should have a decision letter in their hands.

Ok - thank you very much! I’m already looking forward to hearing from UoR. :D

says my application was reviewed my first admissions couneslor and under review of a 2nd admissions counselor anyone else’s like this?

Checked my son’s myROC account…it says his app is in the hands of the first reader.

That’s SOP.

Two counselors review every application. This helps to eliminate any personal bias in the process. A third counselor will read the file if the first 2 counselors have wildly differing opinions on the application.

Thanks URGrad, I was wondering the same thing about the final update in the MyRoc acct! Guess we can stop checking every day lol.
