Hey everyone,
I got into USC, BU, NEU(40% scholarship), UCSD. I got waitlisted at Boston College and UPenn! I applied to the business schools. Obviously Penn is my #1 choice and I put my name on the waitlist. I don’t want to attend BC. I also don’t want UCSD or NEU. I visited NEU BU and USC and narrowed it down to USC and BU. Cost is Not an issue. I got into Marshall and Questrom. Which one would you guys attend if u were me and why? I visited both and felt that boston is a nicer city overall but USC has a much nicer campus. Also, I felt that Marshall is 10x more professional and will provide me with more challenges and opportunities. I may be wrong. I would rather stay close (Boston) but I got the feeling that USC is much better than BU and that it is worth the distance. Again, I may be wrong. Something to keep in mind is that I am international so a career out of the US is very possible (maybe in Europe). I know that USC has a lot of international connections, mostly in Asia. Anything u can contribute to career prospects abroad will be much appreciated. I am willing to work in the US as well. Basically looking for any information about these 2 units. Also, what can you tell me about living in LA/USC. Is it as student friendly as boston? If Penn accepts me i’ll go to penn but i have to enrol from now somewhere.
Bump!
Anyone has any other advice?
SC is better than BU in some areas while BU is better in others.
I think if cost is about the same, you should choose based on:
Boston vs. LA – Culture, weather (four seasons vs. one), entertainment, etc.
The campuses – Dorms/food quality, campus size and look/architecture, safety, etc.
School vibe, social scene, etc.
Academics – Which is stronger in the area(s) you’re interested in? Which has more/better internships and research opportunities? Smaller classes?
They’re both good schools.
