Decision time

Hey guys, can you look at your Grinnell account for me and see what time it says your decision will be available?

Mine says 11pm, but I'm just wondering if that's 11pm Grinnell time, or if it's being zone by timezone and that's 11pm my time.

Thanks, and GOOD LUCK TO EVERYONE :)

I wondered about that, too, but I believe it’s the time in your time zone since it doesn’t say CDT (central daylight time). But then again, it could be different for internationals. I would start checking the website at 11pm your time, then periodically after that. Every hour thru the night maybe?? :D

umh…i don’t think it’s your time zone - there are a lot of internationals out there…
i think it’s Grinnell time

That’s why I think that if a domestic applicant can look at theirs, then we’ll find out :)

Mine says 11PM too and my best bet would be that it’s 11PM CDT.

there is no reason to believe that the 11pm is anything other than Grinnell time

My son applied to Grinnell and I was checking on when he would hear from admissions. Is tonight officially the night?

I was under the impression that they were mailing results, and they weren’t going out until the end of the week.

And if tonight is the night, how would he go about finding out?

Thanks!

Saturday, 11:00 pm on the web portal

be there

Thanks guys! Yeah it’s the 27th.

Are they mailing decisions at the same time? Like, is there any chance that we’ll receive decisions in the mail Saturday? Or should I just count on finding out from the web portal?

what date did the email come that gave applicants their login info for the web portal?
thanks!

D said she was told they would send portal info by e-mail, but she never got one from them. Anyone else in this boat?

I just went through my old email archives, and I received my login and password for the portal in two separate emails on January 14th. They were sent by Nettie Vaverka (VAVERKA@Grinnell.EDU, according to my email). Maybe they got caught in a spam filter or something?

They got into my spam filter, if its any help. I think the all caps triggered that.

mine says 8 am

i live in mexico

where do you live?

Really?! Well that’s weird. I’m in the UK. Are you in the same time zone as California? If so I’m 7/8 hours ahead.

mine says 11 pm. I live in Costa Rica which is in the same time zone ans grinnell, but with daylight savings costa rica should be one hour earlier than grinnell. makes me think it is 11 pm grinnell time

well, my time changed to Saturday 27th 8 AM…

Notice today for my Californian son: please check back after 3/27/2010 8:00:00 AM.

just checked and mine also says “please check back after 3/27/2010 8:00:00.” Oops, I guess I was mixing up the time with what it said on a different college’s website.
Since I live in a different time zone than California, I still think it must be going by Grinnell time
