Decisions are mailed, right?

Hi.

Our admissions decisions are mailed right? That is, they won't be posted online at any point.

right.

most people will get their decision letters on 4/1 or 4/3.

Thanks for the info, HopefulDove :)

If Im in NY will it be 4/1 ?

Aww...that's just too bad. I hope mine comes 4/1.

If it comes April 1st it might just be a joke. Make sure the back doesn't say "April Fools!"

Oh those cards at the admission office...

Haha, yeah. I really hope I don't have to wait any longer than 4/3 (I live in California...).

I live in Alaska... I won't get mine til next year probably :(

Where'd you get the 4/1 date? This admissions office lies through its teeth, just so you know.

I just called the admissions office:

"Me-- I was wondering when decision letters are going to be mailed out.

Admissions lady-- In early April.

Me-- So there's no specific date?

Admissions lady-- No.

Me-- Thank you, Goodbye."

Damn them. Why can't they just tell us when!?

Well, I applied ED to this school, and let me tell you, they're a bunch of a-holes.

I asked "So, are all the letters the same size, or do admits get packages."
She said, "I've seen them - all the same size" <---lies!! Admits got big packages!

Then they said "We'll mail them by the week's end." They mailed them Tuesday of the next week.

Don't trust the Princeton admission office!! Why would they lie? Seriously. Lame.

....and what's sad is that despite all this, they remain my #1 choice.

Seriously. Lame.

Maybe she saw all of the rejected. Not quite lying then :p

I believe that the common Ivy release date in March 30th. At least it is for Brown, Yale, and Harvard.

and dartmouth and penn

or maybe since so few acceptance letters were mailed....it appeared as if they were all the same ;)

Columbia is 30th too

all the ivies except princeton have online notification on the 30th. but ALL of them mail out letters on the 30th, and im pretty sure for NY it'll come by 4/1 (from princeton). i think thats true cuz i got deferred early, and i got my letter 2 days after they mailed it. so yeah

I think I know what's going on-- admission for Princeton has become so tough that this year no one will be admitted. Seriously, the Admissions Office could be a little nicer. At the end of the interview my interviewer told me he would find out a couple days before me If I got in. Maybe I'll e-mail him (or even call him) on April 1st. Is that going too far...?

Can't see how an e-mail would change anything or create an awkward situation, although I would say just wait.

The day you come home and open the mail box (or see it on the counter) and see a huge envelope from Princeton saying you're in is so much greater than a "Congrats! You made it!" in an e-mail.

Just my 2 cents :)
