Ive been checking my Blue Hen portal all day and still the page has not changed or updated, does anyone know if this means i was rejected? Do they not post rejections online or is there a IT error or something?

Has anyone received a rejection on their Blue Hen account? My son’s portal has not changed and I am wondering if this implies a rejection. I wish there was better communication surrounding the notification process.

If you are in Honors program it pops up on the home Congratulations page. Something like: “Congratulations you have been accepted into the Honors Program”

HELP ME>>>Does anyone know if they post rejections on Blue Hen Portal???

My acceptance was online today around noon, accepted into the honors program for environmental engineering, U Del Scholar with $16,000 per year. I’m from PA. My friend’s info was also online, she was accepted but not in honors. There was nothing in the mail when I came home, but she said she recieved her acceptance packet in the mail. Good luck everyone!!!

I have not seen that anyone has been notifiied of a rejection or waitlist via the portal, so it must be acceptances only via portal and rejections/waitlist by mail. Someone comment if this is incorrect, thanks.

I have never heard of anyone receiving notification on the My Blue Hen site of being rejected or waitlisted and I have been looking at these things for 6 years. I believe rejections/waitlist notifications only come by mail. This is the best response I can give you. Best wishes.

has anyone from MA heard??

@eastcoastmum yes I am from MA! I think all students who applied from my school heard today except for ones with IT errors. and @cricket221 and @mwallenmd, I know of a deferral on the site from today.

livk128 - what do you mean by deferral? at this point isn’t everyone either accepted, declined, or waitlisted? thx!

Deferral is the same as Waitlisted. Many of the people who are waitlisted/deferred will eventually be offered a spot.

livk128: If by deferral you mean acceptance at a later date (say next spring instead of this fall) this would still be considered an acceptance. I have never heard of anyone getting notification of outright rejection or wait-list offer on line prior to receiving written notification (but maybe they are doing it differently this year).

I just checked my blue hen portal and there is no decision anywhere. Does this most likely mean I was denied? Help!

Sorry guys!!! Completely blanked. I applied priority way back in November and forgot this was RD. Deferral has been far too common at the other schools I applied to haha. I meant waitlisted, not deferred! A friend got waitlisted today but many got accepted as well. Like I said, I’m from MA
