So I'm trying to chose between UCSD, USC, and Cal Poly. I plan to be an English major with, perhaps, a minor in education. Anybody have any helpful suggestions?

UCSD. =]

but i'm biased cause i'm gonna go there. haha

i think USC would be too expensive. lol but if you can afford then. iono

Yea, that's what I was thinking. The only thing that concerns me is that UCSD is known more for the Sciences, so I don't know how well their Englidh program is....

i have the same problem...i want to major in management or in any business-related major. UCSD has management science but i am not sure how good the program is, taking into account that UCSD focuses on science primarily..

however, chikita, the guy who is in charge of all the media at my school (sound, computers, broadcast and the like) studied at UCSD and earned a Communications major... also, in addition of that, he also works for a San Diego channel (forgt the name) . He prepares all the equipment (visuals, sound, yadayada)

so i guess. yeah. ucsd should have a good communications major

how about management science? anybody?

ooops sorry i think this message was for the other thread

My vote is for UCSD. USC is too expensive for a questionably better program + who whats to live in that neighborhood. With Cal Poly you have the same problem, it is a science school, and UCSD has a much better rep and better rankings indiccating much better programs overall. I do hear that some humanities departments are very good, like Poli Sci and Econ, so its not like the entire humanities department is sucky.

Yeah, I looked into it more, and the situation is basically what is stated....so I'm going to UCSD. Yay! It feels so good to be decided!

Thanks for the advice everyone!
