I got accepted to UCLA as a fall admit (psychobiology major) and UC Berkeley as a spring admit (undeclared, college of letters and science). I've fallen in love with both schools; however, I have a band based in San Diego/Los Angeles that I'm deeply committed to (we're fortunate to have amazing connections). Would it be wise to let Berkeley go and make the more practical choice of going to UCLA? Or is Berkeley's reputation and environment totally worth the hassle?

Could you take your fall at LA and then switch to Berkeley? Maybe, you could accept both.

tell you band to follow you!

haha, that probably wouldn’t work out too well, 88888888

That’s a tough decision! :X No matter what we say…the choice is yours and I hope you make the best of it. They are two really great schools…and whatever you choose, you should be proud of yourself! [:

Good luck deciding!

It sounds simple, but I’d use a Pro/Con chart. It’s a quick and easy way to visualize the benefits and deficits of a situation.

And remember, no matter which you choose, they’re both great schools where you can learn a lot.
