For those interested, I just received my decision (in NY) via snail mail.

I'm not sure if all have been sent out, but thought I ought to post it on here.

so they STARTED it !! hooooo makes me even more anxious.

the waiting is killing me.
patience is definitely a virtue needed in this time haha ;P

did u get in? :)

Thanks! I hope you got good news.

Did you get in???
Do they only report through snail-mail?? or is there a website or somehing?

I also received an acceptance via snail mail today. I’m in NM.

We were on campus for a visit today. They told us the decision letters were all mailed on Friday. Not available on line or by phone.

wow…so nervous now…so it seems they are sending out acceptance mail first…

To those who asked, I was accepted. Best luck to all of you!

I got my letter today in Ohio. I was waitlisted. I’m actually really surprised; I was pretty sure I was in, with test scores and ranking at/above their average, good ECs, and what I thought were good essays. I probably wouldn’t be able to afford it, though, even with my full “need” met, so I’m not accepting a place on the alternate list.

Congrats to those who got in! And good luck to those waiting to hear. :)

Got it today in the mail in Indiana. I was accepted. Best of luck to everyone wherever you go.

im in maryland and i havent gotten it:(

I got in today too! WI

from south dakota - accepted today!
good luck to everyone else…
and congrats to all who got in!

CO student, got into Mac today, waitlisted by Lawrence which was kinda surprising, but not so important. Congrats all.

I’m from California and got my letter today. Accepted! And with a handwritten “Good job!” too!

I’m curious - how many of you who were surprised to be waitlisted or turned down have a great need for financial aid?

My son was waitlisted - and our efc is very low

I got my acceptance to Mac today. I’m in Minnesota, so the mail took an extra long time to get here haha.

As for my EFC, I think it’s pretty average. However, one of my friends who was a really strong candidate for Mac got turned down, and she had a high EFC.

Why did the officer tell me the decisions would be emailed instead of mailed?

@guyfromc
are you int’l? that’s probably why…i’m int’l too…haven’t heard anything back from them yet…

My daughter received the acceptance letter today. Very happy, as it’s (currently) her top choice if money weren’t an issue. We’re waiting to hear about financial aid, as our EFC is probably on the low side (at least for Mac). She’ll weigh the pros and cons of going to Macalester versus going to a different (but still desirable) school that, because of merit money/financial aid turns out to be less expensive. All of this becomes something of a balancing act.
