Decisions Mailed

i typed in D and got results. the result showed that the package type is by AIR the next day…lol cant be the acceptances. and btw D is very random

haha this is kind of really hilarious.

Yeah, called UPS (lol I can’t believe I actually did this). They can’t tell me if any packages are coming to me from NY unless I have a tracking number, which I do not!

i dont know how I will sleep tonight, shouldve never seen that pic…

tried a friend who has a likely. his area has something by air and coming from texas.
maybe columbia relocated to TX.LOL ;D

Do you know if financial aid info is included in this package?

princeAi, i tried my zip code and it showed the same results…by AIR from texas.
yea columbia defenitely relocated to texas…rofl

Haha guys relax… if a person living NYC is getting his packages through the air apparently w/ the D method, clearly it isnt legit lol

Sometimes a reference will pick up the first letter of a large word such as “decision columbia 2014”. Just like Google will guess at what word your are typing into a box. All I know is it worked.
Next question - are all decisions, both accepted, waitlisted and denied being sent UPS or just acceptances?

ahaha omg. I cannot believe this. but its kind of super ironic that D works for some people. and that it’s arriving on April 1.

oh god now I am so paranoid it’s not even funny.

Applicants have done it every year. They find out what express service Columbia is using then they call the service, give Columbia’s zip then your name and address to see if you have a package coming to you next day.

i believe only acceptances are being mailed out. the rest will be online, since columbia did say theyre not wasting paper this year.

okay nvm now i am also panicking haha
if more than 1 person is getting texas, then clearly columbia had some ploy to confuse the normal person… but that type of behavior seems more plausible on an episode of csi than in college decisions :S

Do we know if they mailed them next-day air??

next day air for accepted students and snail mails for others.

why would they mail the from texas? this is so confusing

yes this makes no sense whatsoever.

its a ploy. shh don’t tell.

Ok 1 good reason why this is not true. I did this for my country Singapore, and apparently there is only 1 package being processed by UPS from 25th March through 4th April. This package is coming from Alaska-Texas-Kentucky-Hong Kong-Singapore. I.E. Not Columbia.

A lotta folks apply Columbia from Singapore so even if my zip is not here, somebody’s should be. So I don’t think without the tracking number, UPS has processed this into their online database yet.

Secondly, UPS has the 9th largest airline and is one of the world’s largest delivery companies and USA is like their hub. So typing “D” definitely would not narrow your search accurately.

Does this mean that accepted students might get their packages before 5:00?
