Decisions will be posted 12/14 at 5 pm

good point! I hope you are right :)

Penn doesn't need to look at financial aid to give scholarships though! And they don't really give merit scholarships...PennHunter, did you indicate on your application that you were going to turn in financial aid forms, but didn't?

penn hunter, be rly careful with this. i dont want u getting ur hopes up if its not true, just as a general caution.
try and figure out every possible reason they could've sent u that letter. like the reason above this post, or something else plausible.

if it turns out well, tho - thats frikkin awesome!

so this is a stupid question, but i honestly don't know. is the Pin they send you via e-mail when you do the app online the same pinnyou use to access decisions?? or should I be waiting for a different one by actual postal mail?

Its a different pin.

yup, i'm pretty sure that means PennHunter you've got accepted. What school did you apply to anyway?

I think pennhunter did nursing.

well looking up his previous posts, he is a white MALE going for nursing. That definitely helped during admission.

The financial aid office and the admissions office work separately.

Update - ED % for ivies:

Number of Early Applicants 2006:

Yale - decrease 12%
Princeton - increase 2%
MIT - increase of over 10%
Penn - undefined
Brown - decrease 2.6%

undefined for Penn?? Agh.

Oh man, my friend won't be too happy about that 10% inc. for MIT

penn decrease 12%....i can dream...right?

I got the PIN last week, but didn't get any letter about financial aid. But, I said I did not need financial aid and would not be applying. Therefore, it would not make sense for them to mail me a financial aid letter...it would be a waste of a stamp.
So, I think the fact that I got a PIN but not a financial aid letter means nothing.

Penn's ED # will probably be up tomorrow, that's when the next issue of the DP goes out.

And just for the record, we all want a small % of increase, correct?

doesn't the DP come out every day? Lol...or has it not been out for a while because of Thanksgiving?

well either way it sucks.

if the number goes down, only high caliber applicants are applying ED
if it goes up, u have more competition

so yea :(

Yeah, it didn't come out last weekend because of Thanksgiving.

And yessss, we want a small increase. Or better yet, a decrease!

Sorry I was gone, I went out to dinner with some friends but anyway my dad said he sent in the forms. I Applied to the nursing and health care management program. (nursing & wharton) . God I hope I get in, but anyways I need to read what you all wrote about me while I was out. I have a feeling we might be guessing a little to much and cant rely on this conclusion. ( maybe my dad screwed one of the forms up, you never know?) We all get a Fin. aid package on the 14th.

I am nervoooooosssssss
