@oso123: im confused too. i heard that the letters will come out today because it will be spring break for them soon. i dont know, but i remember reading from the soa website that the letters will come from march 11 to march 18 or something. maybe architecture is special? also, do you mind telling me if your friend got accepted?

also, i didnt get the email yet. i was really anticipating it today Dx

@misstrwbrylvr
my friend was rejected.
I just hope we get to hear back as soon as possible

i think they send the letters by schools - in alphabetical order may be. I applied to whitman and haven’t heard yet. Do you know of anybody who had applied to whitman and received a decision already?

is it possible to get the decision on a saturday?

The Syracuse University class of 2015 page on fb has people saying they were accepted last yesterday (although it could be that they were accepted on Saturday due to time zone differences, and they are international).

Yes, I think it’s possible to be accepted on a Saturday because my friend just got into wisconsin today! Hope we find out today!!

I believe they orchestrate these announcements and updates electronically? I can’t imagine them all standing around and pushing a button? Maybe I can. Last day before Spring break, Admissions team has read tens of thousands of apps, and scores and letters…they pour champagne…the director presses the afore mentioned button.

With the school closed for break, would they really break with years of tradition and wait until, say the week of the 24th? or GASP, Friday 4/25? Gosh the Admitted student receptions start April 4?

I don’t think the accepted student reception thing means anything. DogsR is usually right. But don’t they have someone checking for these obvious glitches? (I do, I’m pretty sure it’s new) I can’t believe schools like UD and Syracuse don’t cross their I’s. But out of like 15-16 schools son has applied to, over half had glitches of some kind. But to glitch the day announcements are expected…? It’s too much

I applied to Architecture and i have not heard back yet, so I dont think it is by school. you could blame that the basketball game was on last night so no one employed for Syracuse was probably working:)

I had called the office of admissions earlier this week and they said I would be getting a decision in “late March, early April.” Perhaps they are going to wait.

Isnt this a little chaotic? sending out random decisions . There seems to be no rhyme or rythm except for the fact that it might be going in alphabetical order of the school which doesnt seem to be very organized. Has Syracuse always been rollling decision like this? I think that they should have sent everyhting out on one day like most colleges, 'cause this is making me super nervous…

Son applied RD in mid september, well before most ED kids. When Cuse asked for RD candidates for mid year reports, they asked him for just first semester-like the ED kids. It’s OK for him not to get accepted…it’s a pretty big reach, but April? He’s in 11 schools most EA/Rolling and is ready to pull the trigger and actually decide between his top choices and the last little nagging thing holding him back is waiting for the Syracuse decision. I LOVE Syracuse, coming from upstate NY myself, and have really been pushing him to stay closer to home. But April??? His deposit check is gonna be cashed SOMEWHERE by then and a new sweatshirt on his back with a school name. If Syracuse had some major strategic change in decision policy or dates…why not post it somewhere to humor us? That said, I love me some Orangemen!!!

from upstate ny too! this waiting game is crazy! pretty sure that d is going to an oos school, but just wondering about syracuse, and their merit aid. got accepted to UTexas,UMiami,UBuffalo, and Florida State University!

oso123 can you ask your friend how his gpa, portfolio, etc. were? I applied to architecture too and I’m waiting to hear back as well.

Sorry about the last message, got ahead of myself. I haven’t heard back either and I applied in late December/early January to the school of architecture. Crossing my fingers.

@oso123: aww, im sry.
i tried checking my myslice account but it says "Error getting content

Please contact your System Administrator." in the admissions to do items box. is it possible to know your status by checking myslice or do we have to wait for an email?

@squidnips: hahaha, wow, thatll be really irresponsible of them! xD

oh, and im from california, so maybe i havent heard anything yet because im like 3000 miles away? =O

oh, and can any of you guys access the acceptance form on myslice? cause i clicked on it and it led me to another page, but it said that the server was down so i couldnt log in.

Myslice is being really glichy for me, too. The acceptance form brings up a log in page for Oracle which is probably what powers Myslice. The URL for myslice has EMPLOYEE in it . . . has it always been there? I wonder if the applicants are getting access to the employee Myslice page by mistake, and since we’re not on their server, it’s not letting us view our to-do-lists or possible acceptance forms, thus requiring us to log in to the web app that powers the site. Or maybe I am completely wrong in what I’m saying. I also wonder if Myslice is down for everyone, or just certain people.

yea, i get access to an oracle sign in page. i think im just going to call them on monday to make sure and see what’s going on.
