When will the decisions come out? And it's via mail or email?
freaking out...Thanks

Varies department to department and applicant to applicant.

Oh right… undergrad… It’s always been around middle March.

@dinoian thx. mid march…><

Also as a general rule, the easier UCs tend to send out admissions decisions first. UCLA usually comes out shortly after UCSD and just before Cal. So when you or your friends start getting letters from other UCs, you know that UCLA is coming soon.

Last year they came out early, on March 11, which was on a Friday. If they do the same this year it might be as early as Friday, March 9!

Wait will we get an email or how does it work?

You’ll get an email to check their website for your decision. I remember I heard about it being available before they actually sent the email though. Last year it was the same time as the weekend before so it’ll probably be the same again this year, what SanFran2015 said. It is one of the earliest UCs to release admission (very very smart on UCLA’s part) and definitely at least a week or two before UCD/UCSB/UCB/UCSD. Good luck!!! :)

Last year the frosh decisions came out March 11 (second Friday of March), so I’m guessing this year it would be March 9.

To check your decision, go to http://www.admissions.ucla.edu/Applicant/Decision/default.htm.

Ms Sun, do you remember the time of day decisions were released? Was it in the evening PST?

I remember it being around 4 or 5pm

Is there any advantage in SIRing (that a verb?) asap? I believe at UCSD the earlier you SIR, the better your chances are of getting into the housing of your choice. Anything like that at UCLA?

@thenewgurl – No. I’d recommend taking your time to really consider all your options before making your final decision. I spent a lot of time agonizing over my choice and finally decided on ucla on the 2nd to last day before the deadline and have never regretted it. Also don’t discount any colleges you aren’t 100% enthusiastic about at first because sometimes once you visit or learn more about it you’ll end up loving it

Like everyone else said, last year they came out on the second Friday. But also they came out on Tue second Friday in 2010. Now it may be different this year because they have such an overwhelming number of applications, but I marked my calendar to check on March 9th ;)

How about the year before, i.e. 2010? If it is 9 March it’s gonna be in 2 days :-S

Looks like UCSD is starting to phone admitted students…UCLA close behind?
