<p>My friend just got accepted with full ride- RD. When do decisions come out? I thought it was later, but am I wrong?</p>
<p>Perhaps some sort of special scholarship? Ingram, minority recruitment, sportswriting?</p>
<p>Please clarify if your friend's full ride and acceptance were need-based financial aid or one of the merit scholarships. Please post specifically what happened. Thanks</p>
<p>I am RD and .. uhh, I just got in today.</p>
<p>This may be a strange trend. Sewanee sent out a number of acceptance letters almost inexplicably shortly after the app deadline-- and not to standout students, really.</p>
<p>RD decisions already? funny...anyone else who got in RD already?</p>

<p>I thought maybe the early notification might have something to do with the fact that MOSAIC is coming up so they needed to go ahead and let people know early. . . just my theory.</p>

<p>I believe Vanderbilt notify people about the financial aid by April. I got a letter about MOSAIC yesterday (didnt know Asians were considered urm at Vanderbilt.) Anyway to Bruno, I believe that I am a normal person. My stats are 1510 SAT, class treasurer, founder and president of Ping Pong club, varsity soccer . plus the usual stuff needed by an applicant. I think it was my uniqueness of being a Swedish Chinese that helped me.</p>
<p>Special merit scholarship (Ingram, Sportswriters, etc) and URM being invited to MOSAIC get their admission letters earler, and I guess they send out to other folks to while they're at it (the one-look admits I'm guessing)</p>
<p>A classmate of mine who received her Sewanee acceptance all of 9 days after applying suggested that they liked the sound of her name... forgetting that her ACT score was about 7-8 points above average for Sewanee...</p>
<p>Thanks dog366 for letting me know you got in early being an asian. I am an asian too and I was convinced asians are over represented 'minorities' at all american colleges and stood a lesser chance compared to others. Good to see it's different for Vandy.</p>

<p>Hey, u said u were pres and founder of a ping pong club. I am trying to start one at my school also. Could u give me any advice/help/tips? (like how to get people do donate tables, if u guys needed physicals to play.etc.???)

<p>i'm asian and i didn't get invited to MOSAIC...:-/ but i know that i got in because i was invited to the honor scholarship weekend...not the official letter...but basically, i can assume that i'm in.</p>
