so back to decisions, do you guys think stuff received by the 10 will get decisions by the end of december

^^Yeah, they guarantee it don't they?

"Dates up to and including November 10 indicate that our office received your application document(s) by the October 31, 2007 deadline for Early Response notification."

Hpandu, I'm in the same boat as you. I'm in state with a 3.7 and 29 on the ACT and my app was complete 10/1. It's a little discouraging when people who applied in late october have already heard back. Perhaps they are simply waiting to compare all the borderline applicants. I would assume if they had already made a decision they would tell us, but then again I really have no idea.

i havent submitted yet, but what do u think
im out of state
4.0 gpa, 33 ACT (35 superscore), good ECs, awesome recs?, good essay

Those seem like pretty strong stats in state...I'm glad I'm not the only one who hasn't heard yet lol.

dietcoke: probably great chances, again, assuming you get it in in a timely manner.

if i implied i was taking the october ACT by listing it as a test date will they wait for me to send those scores?
b/c i wont be sending them so i dont want it to hold up the process
i just sent my regional counselor an email
HELP!

i'm sure if your regional counselor got the email it will be fine, she'll make a note not to hold up for the scores.

thanks for all your feedback vco8
question
i know that my GPA is low (3.1) however my schools grading scale is different
anywhere from a 94-100 is an A, 86-92 B, 80-86 C and so on
will they take this into consideration

if you get an A- to A+, that's 4 points. B- to B+ is 3 points, and so on. They don't curve to your grading scale; rather , they take your letter grades (A, B, C, etc), and put them equal to 4,3,2,1,or 0 points. That's how they get your uw GPA. hope that answered your question, if now lemme know...

well yes i knew that =)
but my question was will they take that grading scale into consideration
b/c i know at most schools the grading scale is 90-100A, 80-90 B and so on
but mine is what i posted before (much harder to get an A or a B) and that is why my GPA is so low by umich standards
will they take tht into consideration?

Probably if your counselor marked it on the app, otherwise they have no way of knowing.

ok thanks
sorry for all the questions im just so paranoid!

no prob, good luck!

All schools send a high school profile. so you're alright
