they will notify internationals on the 15th when they officially release decisions.

I called the Admissions office today and the woman said that they were being mailed tomorrow!

I checked the blog and it is not updated. If you read last year's blog they gave a LOT of information and its a bit disappointing that there has been nothing for this year's applicants. Last year they wrote about how they view ED candidates, materials they needed, etc. You can find it on the blog page. Does anyone have a clue if the numbers went up or down this year?

Since letters are scheduled to be mailed tomorrow afternoon, I would think there will be an update to the blog at that time or over the weekend. To put anything up today would be premature. Good luck to all who are waiting. I was anxious for S to receive his decision in the RD round, but we knew of other acceptances at that time and were waiting for other answers as well. I found the ED process to be somewhat more nerve wracking with D.

i don't understand why they are being mailed tomorrow evening rather than the morning. Doesn't that mean that the letters are not going to go out until saturday?

any chance of getting the letter on saturday if i live in new york?

If you review threads from previous years, you'll notice the letters are mailed first class and that it takes several days to get beyond the immediate Nashville area. Staff in the admissions office are not authorized to release your decision by phone for a period of several days, usually about five days. Student workers and clerical staff field lots of phone calls reciting this to callers, but they don't have the authority to tell you anything at this point. The year D was admitted letters were mailed on Tuesday afternoon and her acceptance didn't arrive until late Friday afternoon (I have posted this in previous years along with the fact that we only live two hours away). She was leaving on a trip with her dad's family the next morning and we were practically coming apart at the seams hoping the letter would arrive since they had made it known that no information would be released via telephone before that following Monday. Those living in the Northeast and the Western states seem to wait up to 4 days to know based on posts from previous years. I know it is agony to all those who are waiting; hopefully good things will come to all those waiting on this board!

2 years ago my son got his letter only one day after they were mailed. We, too are only 2 hours away, so who knows! When I called today,I specifically asked if they would go out with the afternoon mail and she said yes. So theoretically you can get it Saturday if you are very lucky. Monday or Tuesday are probably more likely though.
