For those who felt swayed by revisit experiences, please share any surprising or meaningful elements of your decision process. Thanks in advance!

I was accepted by one of the top few schools in the country last year. (according to test scores and matriculation yada yada) It was actually my last choice school, so I probably had a lot of pre-formed bias. But since it was the only school I got in to, I spent a lot of time before the revisit trying to convince myself that I loved that school. However, once I got there, I realized it wasn’t what I dreamed it would be. Yes, the grass was green and the flowers were pretty, but the atmosphere of the school did not seem like what I saw in the view book. I ended up not enrolling, and here I am again, waiting for March 10th to roll around once more. I know this is definitely not true for everyone, but the revisit definitely let me look past the view book.

You have to go to the revisit day. Also, if possible (obviously you need to be within driving distance), you should go informally to campus between now and April 10. Go to an athletic event, or a play or concert. See how you feel. How are the students? You will find you will learn a LOT that way!
