I am a Junior and i mainly hope to attend USC the MOST.
The school i hope to attend is USC (University of southern california),or UCSB, UCSD, and i was wondering if i should declare my major (chemical engineering) or not....

We all know you gotta be good at math for engineering... but i have gotten a B in all my math classes so far.... and i have yet to take my sat 2... and im pretty sure its not gonna be excellent ... prob 700 ? and on my sat 1 my math wasnt so great... im not sure.. i am really okay with math but im not much a test taker i suppose? so due to my math being slightly .... deficient...... would this hurt my chances of being accepted into USC if i declared my major?
the only that is really good that SHOWS is chemistry... and everything else not related to engineering...

if i SHOULDNT declare my major... and i get accepted into the school... how would i be able to "declare" my major once the school year starts? wouldnt that mean i have to be in school longer in order to graduate? what would the process be like to enter as undeclared, then declaring ... how long would it be minimum to declare?
