I haven't been able to figure out how to decline my offer from UCSD. When I login, it shows my SIR agreement, and makes it look like I accepted it, even though I didn't, or didn't try to. This just worries me a little, because it says SIRing to more than one UC can affect your admission status, and I don't want my admission to Berkeley to be jeopardized because I accidentally SIRed to UCSD or something. Has anyone been able to decline their offer from UCSD? If not, what does it say when you login? Another other thoughts? Thanks.

Okay, this is not related to UCSD but UCLA did send me an email saying " Congratulations again on being admitted to UCLA, Chelsea, and thank you for letting us know you’ve already accepted your transfer admission offer. "

I have NOT submitted my SIR so I don’t know what that means…

You did not pay for anything right?

I have not paid anything, and never actually said I would be attending. I had to agree to something when in order to view my financial aid, but I don’t believe it meant I would be attending.

I’m having the same issue with UCSB and UCI. I tried to decline, but I have to go through some agreements first and I chose not to go any farther as a precaution. I’d seriously like to be able to decline if there is even the small chance that someone else could take my spot (if that is how it works).

I know, I feel guilty knowing there’s someone waiting anxiously on the wait list. Plus I would just like to close my account with them and stop receiving emails.

I declined to both UCSD and UCI but they keep sending me emails about events to attend… :-/

How did you decline UCSD?!

Hey sup, @music1990. I thought there was an option to accept or decline your admission status after “Seeing More” at the bottom of your acceptance letter or something like that haha I can’t remember.

After I declined it just reads “You have logged on to the UC San Diego application status site. We have received your request to decline our offer of admission. While we regret that you will not be a part of the UC San Diego student body, we wish you much success in your academic endeavors.”

Pretty sure if you do not decline by June 1st, they will get the hint that you are not interested. And just an FYI, if you haven’t paid anything to UCSD(the deposit), then you have not fully committed.
