Does anyone know how and when we need to let Miami know we do not want their health insurance, and that we have our own health insurance? Does this need to be done at the time of admissions acceptance or can it be done after accepting admission?
The deadline to decline health insurance for Miami is typically towards the end of July. There are a series of questions on CaneLink to determine if the student’s current insurance meets the requirement for the waiver. If you are going to waive, better to do it before the deadline as it is fairly pricey. So, you have plenty of time - no need to do at the time of admission acceptance.
