Don’t forget to do this for your new (or returning) Terp! I think the start date for the school’s medical insurance starts June 15th! If you want to opt-out, you need to do so or pay 1900$ or the insurance.

NOTE: It is important, most especially for out of state students, to check with your health plan - meaning every individual should personally call the number for member services (the number is typically on the back of the insurance card) to find out if the specific plan that is in place actually has out-of-network benefits.
You can NOT assume that because your friend has the same insurance COMPANY as you, that you will have the same benefits. Every insurance company has numerous plan options and they do NOT all have the same coverage and benefits. So, call now to find out if the University of Maryland Health Center is in network for your student, and that if you are OOS, any visit will be covered.
