winterset - isn’t that about 20-25 more students overall than last year’s enrollment?

26 more. Yup. SPS was Too hot this past year. The yield #'s were high. So… shhhh… that will Probably make it tougher for next year for some forms/genders. Or conversely, they can afford to be more selective. Also means that rooms will be tight this year.

Deerfield was 67 girls and 51 boys for freshman class. SPS i believe is 60 girls and 46 boys for freshman class. Forgetting about overall enrollment, just seems strange to me.

They didn’t forget…you just never really know. Who knew 70% of the people accepted to SPS would decide to come. Im sure the AO’s didn’t. Same situation with Deerfield and w.e their yield was.

Official numbers for St Pauls: there will be 535 students this coming year, compared to 524 last year. Last year there were more boys than girls (265 vs. 259), this year there are currently 4 less boys and 15 more girls (so 261 vs. 274). (see St. Paul’s School thread for more details). Mpicz is correct. Offers are made based on historic responses. Rough gender parity is always a goal, but then the applicants get to ‘vote’. This year at SPS more girls accepted those offers than boys. Go figure.

PA doesn’t seem to have the problem or it is an imblance in the other way. With a 78% yield (which is higher than Harvard 76% yield :)), there’ll be 164 girls and 186 boys coming this fall.
