i am an intl SCEA admit; but i have to defer matriculation to stanford because of compulsary national service. thing is, i do not know if i will be matriculating in 2006 or 2007 due to confusion over some policy crap. anyone knows anything regarding defering matriculation and what the procedures are? 10x

This is a serious matter, and I suggest you call or email stanford's admission office. Unfortunately, I don't know about defering matriculation. Anyways, good luck!

well, i did indicate in my application that i would probly only matriculate in 2007.

it's not a serious matter at all. You're allowed to defer to up to two years. Call the admissions office and talk to them, but don't fret. You're allowed to defer for a year, and then next year tell them you're deferring for another year. Which it sounds like what you will be doing.

by serious I meant it's something that you have talk to admission office about. Sorry if i scared you or anything.

nah, not a problem :)
thanks.
