<p>Congrats! So deferred students can still get the scholarship…</p>
<p>Buckeye22-did you find out on-line or in the mail???</p>
<p>It would seem then that they’re admitting the people who have the higher ACT first, which makes sense. Maybe they’re working their way down the totem pole from highest ACT score to the lowest now? Who knows. I’m just SO TIRED of waiting. UGH! COME ON ALREADY! Let us deferred people know…before March 31st!</p>
<p>I’m still deferred too and it sucks waiting :(</p>

<p>I don’t think they’re going down the ACT totem pole. I got a 30 and I’ve been chekcing everyday. Still haven’t been accepted.</p>
<p>hello! i’m new here, and i’ve been deferred as well. I wrote a letter to admissions and i was wondering if you guys could let me know what you think! thanks so much.</p>
<pre><code>Dear Ohio State University Admissions,
Unfortunately, I was recently informed of my deferral from Ohio State, and although I was disappointed to be deferred from my first choice school, I would like to thank all of the admissions committee and colleagues for taking the time to review my application and for giving me a chance in the second round of reviews. The Ohio State University has been my number one choice for years, and it is where I plan on attending if admitted. After learning more about the programs, I found that the Health Proffessions Exploration major, only offered at the Ohio State University, was a perfect fit for my interests and goals.
My hardest classes of the year, and perhaps of the entire year, are in store for me this semester. I must admit I was quite worried considering I also have lacrosse to balance with my course work. However, I am proud to say that I am doing quite well this quarter, with a grade point average of above a 4.0 so far, which I intend on sending to The Ohio State University as soon as March exams are finished.
Once again, Id like to thank everyone who put in time and effort to review my application, and for being so assisting in the entire application process. I very much hope to attend the Ohio State University, and I hope to call myself a Buckeye one day!

<p>it definitely can’t hurt!</p>
<p>Hope the typo “proffessions” is only here and not your letter!!</p>
<p>for whoever asked i heard of my admissions online because i checked my status everyday, and i heard of the Buckeye Scholarship through the mail, it was a very small envelope so dont throw it away on accident! i didnt look at mine until a few days after it came because I didnt even notice it</p>

Keep your heads up everyone who hasn’t heard back yet.</p>
<p>just got innn! they accepted me before they received my letter … awkward</p>
<p>Anyone know how the process works? Accepted students first? Or does it go by application date? Alot like regular admission.</p>
<p>After reading all the posts of the deferred students, here is an observation from a parent of an accepted student from two years ago. All those kids that no one can figure out how they got in, well you’ll find them on campus next year and they will generally live down to what you first thought. My son was accepted early in December into the honors program and was pre-accepted into Fisher. He truly thought he was among an elite group of freshman at OSU-he wasn’t. Truth is, OSU has been a great school for my son, but their admission process seems hit or miss with some really great kids kept out and questionable ones let in. In the sophmore year, the transfers come swarming in and while statistically they will not be as likely to succeed as the admitted freshman, most are highly capable of getting a degree from OSU. With that said, best of luck to all those on this thread.</p>
<p>I was deferred and just got accepted into the business program</p>
<p>Amazing, deferred and then well qualified enough to be admitted to Fisher. Congratulations. Stinks it took so long, but turned out all good.</p>
<p>Just got accepted into Aerospace engineering after a Defer today.</p>
<p>I was pleasantly surprised since my GPA is UW:2.6 W:3.0 and I have a 2100 sat score.
Good luck to the rest of you guys.
(I didn’t send any LoR, though I sent in my 7th semester transcript. )</p>
