Deferred from BC...so what now?

I was just deferred today from BC and am somewhat surprised. My STATs are as follows:

SAT
CR 690
Math 650
Writing 770

ACT
30

UW gpa: about 3.8 (not sure what it is weighted)

Top 15% of class at a small private school

Interned at a local newspaper and published over 15 articles

Member of Spanish Club, co-creator of school newspaper, member of Yearbook, member of Writing Club, member of National Beta Club for three years

Honors Physics, Honors Pre-Cal, Honors Spanish, AP Literature, AP Government, and AP US History (and a 5 on the AP US History exam)

Member of varsity tennis team for junior and senior year as well as scholar athlete for my tennis team, swim team for 9-11th grades

Volunteered once a week at a farm that helps handicapped people ride horses for therapeutic reasons

Got two solid recommendations, one that I know was very complimetary because I'm good friends with the teacher who wrote it

I'm worried because the other schools are applied to (namely, NYU, Northwestern, and Brown) are even more selective than BC. Any suggestions for schools, or feedback in general, would be greatly appreciated! Especially anyone else who was deferred/rejected from BC and is wondering what went wrong.
