I was deferred from the undergrad college of business. How many deferred from business usually get in, i was told 1/2. I have received a 31 on the ACT, with a 3.6 unweighted GPA and top 15% of class. Do you guys think I'll get in? THANKS!

Majority of school of business admission decisions will be those released in Feb -- it defers a lot in Dec because it has a preference for seeing all who apply before making majority of decisions. Thus, you still have a chance. 50% chance might be considered high simply because the business school's overall admission rate is usually less than 50%.

I don't have a crystal ball...but I would say your chances are probably 50/50. My son had higher stats last year and was denied, but was offered admission to LAS as an undecided instead. (and incidentally, did not "check the box" indicating he wanted to be considered for a different school/major. He decided to take a better offer elsewhere.

if it was up to me i think youll get in. there are other factors than grades and gpa which i know nothing about, but assuming you have been involved and passionate in something i think your chances are good.

good luck!

two years ago I had your same exact stats except a little higher GPA and a slightly better ranking. I received an alternate choice to go into Economics.
