Does anyone have any information at all about admission (or not) after deferral from TCNJ?
What are your scores/GPA?
Not that high. 1100 SAT and GPA 90.
1100 out of 2400 or 1600?

SAT Critical Reading… 550 …640
SAT Math… 570 …670
SAT Writing …550 …660
If 2400, not much hope
If 1600, you are around the 25 percentile…
Also what major did you apply for? Do you play athletics/a musical instrument?
1100 out of 1600…1600 out of 2400…Applied for History… played several sports and had probably average extracurriculars. (I’m Mom) I know last years’ stats showed that wait list was offered to over 1000 students. Of those that accepted about half were ultimately offered admission.
Are you talking about deferral or Waitlist? Deferral is applying ED and then not getting in but being deferred to Regular Decision. Waitlist is not getting in after RD and then being offered a spot on the waitlist.
Is the student going to play a sport at the school?
Is History an over-subscribed major at TCNJ?
Seems like about 10000 students apply, 5000 are accepted…so of the 5000 not accepted they asked 1700 to be on the WL.
He applied ED and was deferred…I’m just speculating that wait list is a real possibility…

I wouldn’t know how to tell if History is oversubscribed at TCNJ but I don’t believe so.
Does your son’s school have Naviance? If so, how does he fall on the graph of TCNJ applicants from his HS?
Obviously no one can give you a definitive answer as he is not a shoe-in…his SAT is below TCNJ average.
