I was deferred EA at Harvard. I recognize that my chances are slim in the regular, but what can I do to improve my odds? I already sent a letter to the Admissions Office.
Make a robot that cures cancer and democratizes North Korea? Seriously, not much at this point, but if you’re involved in any competitions, win them; if you’re involved in any activities, achieve jaw-dropping results.
There’s already a thread on this topic: http://talk.collegeconfidential.com/princeton-university/1945353-omg-i-got-deferred-now-what.html
Spend time looking at the other colleges you applied to and getting excited about at least one of them. Try not to think about Harvard and assume you will not get in (then you can be surprised but cannot be disappointed). Enjoy your last months of high school if you can.
I hope you applied to schools you would love to attend. If you didn’t research them enough, do it now, and visit too. You will end up at a great place I am sure.
Thanks for the advice. All makes sense.
I looked through your past threads, and I am certain that you will end up somewhere great.
